Introducing the Geek Boutique
We are thrilled to announce that Cheerdocious is now carrying products from The Geek Boutique, a unique shop that caters to everyone’s favorite fandoms. From comics and television to movies, video games, and literature, The Geek Boutique has created over 400 designs of handmade beverage tumblers that proudly represent the geeky and nerdy side of life.
The story behind The Geek Boutique is one of passion, perseverance, and a touch of serendipity. Founders Katie and Andy combined their love for crafting, entrepreneurship, and the desire to create something special during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. In February 2022, they discovered the art of sublimation and dove headfirst into the world of custom tumblers.
Starting with craft shows and local festivals in Minnesota, The Geek Boutique quickly gained popularity among fellow geeks and nerds. A pivotal moment came when they decided to participate in the “Twin Cities Con,” which opened up a whole new world of opportunities. As of June 1, 2023, The Geek Boutique has become a fully operational pop-up shop, showcasing their unique creations at the Keg & Case in St. Paul.
Behind The Geek Boutique are two incredible individuals:
Katie, the Owner and Movie/Pop Culture Geek, brings her diverse background in makeup artistry and teaching English and Drama to create a brand that encompasses all that she loves. Her passion for Broadway, audiobooks, and exploring local coffeehouses and breweries shines through in the shop’s designs.
Andy, the Dreamer, D&D, and MTG pro, is the extrovert of the group, constantly dreaming of where The Geek Boutique will go next. With a background in the military and as a current flight attendant, Andy’s love for playing D&D, Magic the Gathering, and exploring national parks adds a unique perspective to the shop’s offerings.
Together, Katie and Andy pour their hearts into each handmade tumbler, ensuring that every piece is a true representation of the fandoms we all know and love. They take pride in seeing the smiles their products bring to people and are excited to share their creations with the Cheerdocious community.
